At least 10 Nigerian soldiers were killed by a mine planted by Boko Haram on 14 April while the country was remembering the Chibok girls, Cameroonian newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel, has reported, but the Nigerian Army said nothing about the dead.

L’Oeil du Sahel said 11 other Nigerian soldiers were injured in the incident when their vehicle stepped on a landmine planted by the terrorists along Kumshe – Banki road.

The newspaper did not go into details but it has been the most reliable newspaper covering the Boko Haram atrocities along the Nigerian Cameroonian border for several years.

This week, the Nigerian Army said at least 24 soldiers, including two officers were wounded by Boko Haram in Kareto,  Borno State.

The war against Boko Haram seems far from being over.
