The war against Boko Haram continues in NigeriaTwo members of Boko Haram blew themselves up on Monday morning in Cameroon, killing themselves and no one else.
Local newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel, said the two bombers detonated their explosives about 200 kilometres from Kolofata, a town in Cameroon’s far north, along the border with Nigeria.
Kolofata had come under Boko Haram attack several times in the past with the most daring assault occurring on January 12, 2015. That day, a military base in Kolofata was assaulted by Boko Haram.
The Islamist group had also attacked the town in Northern Cameroon in December 2014. That attack was repelled with only one Cameroonian officer killed.143 Boko Haram insurgents were killed by the Cameroonian Army.
