Cameroonian newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel, said the seven Boko Haram members were gunned down around the village of Homeka.
President Paul Biya of Cameroon and Nigerian leader Muhammadu Buhari discussed the Boko Haram insurgency this week during Mr Biya’s state visit to Nigeria. Both countries are trying to bring to an end a non conventional war that has lasted too long.
It’s now been seven years that Boko Haram has been wreaking havoc in Nigeria and over two years since it began attacking other countries in the region.
More than 25,000 people have been killed in Nigeria while over 1300 have been gunned down in Cameroon. Worse, more than two million people remain displaced and over 500,000 children are still out of school.
Many kidnapped women have remained in captivity for years, including the Chibok girls taken away more than two years ago.
