The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has been conferred with the Chieftaincy title of ‘Jagaban’ by the Lamido Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa.
The Vice President, who is in Adamawa State for an official assignment, was decorated as the Jagaban of Adamawa, by the Royal father, according to a tweet by his Media Aide, Laolu Akande.
Recall, that the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu is the Jagaban of Borgu, Niger State.
The tweet reads:
“VP Osinbajo now in Yola, where he will be commissioning a number of Adamawa State govt projects: now being received @ Lamido Adamawa’s palace
“The Lamido confers VP with the honorary title – “Jagaban Adamawa” meaning front-runner of Adamawa, with a colourful presentation of a horse.
“After colourful Durbar parade in honor of the VP, he accepts honuorary title, with greetings from President Buhari, “in-laws” to Adamawa people.
“VP assures that even if it may not be easy, we shall see a new Nigeria soon, noting that rebuilding of Adamawa & NE region has started.”
Osinbajo was also decorated as “Obong Emem Ibom”, during his visit to Akwa Ibom State, while he bagged the title of Enyioha Ndigbo 1 in Abia State.
