The Presidency, has on Monday, debunked stories claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari, is being fed intravenously, due to the deterioration of his health, and that he is not responding to treatment.
The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, made this disclosure.
Recall, that on Sunday, Sahara Reporters reported that Buhari’s health condition had worsened, and that he had to be given food and drinks intravenously.
Also, Post-Nigeria exclusively reported that Buhari has not been responding to treatment, hence the decision to work from home, in order to have ample time to rest, to aid full recovery.
However, in a swift reaction, Ahmad took to his Twitter page, to insist that there is no need for concern over the President’s health.
“The story like many of its kind, is untrue, as @GarShehu said on Thursday, there is no need for apprehension over President Buhari’s health,” he wrote.
Also reacting, a Presidential source hinted that Buhari has not been feeding through tube as widely claimed, but that the President has lost appetite and can barely eat.
Meanwhile, Buhari’s health has been the subject of discussion online and offline, after he failed to attend the Jummat prayers in Aso Villa, on Friday.
Also, last week Wednesday, the President failed to convene the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting, for the third consecutive week.
