English speaking Cameroonians stormed the Cameroonian Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, removed the Cameroonian flag and replaced it with their own flag.They have been protesting against injustices perpetrated by the government of President Paul Biya who has been in power for 35 years. But Cameroonians who have been battered by poverty and Boko Haram insurgency in other parts of the country have said they are even worse off than anglophones. The anglophones have said they would like either secession or a federal system of government.
