The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday
arrested two lawyers from the Ikeja Branch of the NBA.
According to the information gathered by TheNigerialawyer (TNL),
Mr. Abdulateef Abdulsalam and Mr. Evans went to the EFCC office to
see their client, who was the former Ikeja NBA Chair, Mr Yinka
Farounbi, but was unfortunately detained by the Commission’s
agents.
A source informed TNL that EFCC officials alleged that both
lawyers were amongst those that pushed them away, yesterday when
they visited the branch to effect the arrest of the former
chairman.
TNL recalls that the former Ikeja NBA Chairman, Yinka Farounbi
was arrested on Monday by EFCC over alleged misappropriation
of N30 million belonging to the branch.
