The Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam
Muhammed Bello, is to be conferred with the rank of Fellowship of
the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).
Following a resolution of the ICMC Governing Council, the
President of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators,
Chief Emeka J.P. Obegolu, FICMC, FCIArb (UK), led a delegation to
the Federal Capital Territory Administration to inform the
Honourable Minister of this award of Fellowship and discuss
possible collaborations between the Institute and the FCT.
Chief Emeka Obegolu, in communicating the resolution of Council,
stated that the award of Fellowship is the Institute’s highest
level of professional recognition and it encourages awardees to
continue to bring peace and harmony wherever they are. He stated
further that in coming to the resolution, the Council took into
consideration the relative industrial peace that has marked his
tenure as Minister of FCT as well as the enthronement of ADR as a
preferred process of Dispute Resolution in the Ministry of FCT.
The award ceremony will take place during the Alternative
Dispute Resolution (ADR) Conference and Induction Ceremony of the
Institute scheduled to hold November 26, 2019.
