Enugu State Judicial Commission Calls For Application For Appointment Of Chairmen And Members Of Customary Courts – TheNigerialawyer

The Enugu State Judicial Commission has commenced the process
for the appointment of Chairmen and Members of the Customary Courts
in the state for the 2020-2023 judicial tenure. This is contained
in a public announcement signed by the Secretary of the Commission,
Frank Enuma Chukwu, FCAL.

In the Notice sighted by TheNigerialawyer
(TNL), it was stated that interested fit and proper
applicants are requested to pick the application form at the cost
of N5,000.00 at the Headquarters of the Customary Court of Appeal,
Court Avenue by State Secretariat Enugu.

The guide for application is stated as follows:

Applicants should first pay the said sum of N5,000.00 cost of
application form into the Enugu State Government paydirect
account; account Name-Customary Court of Appeal Enugu State in any
bank before collecting the application Form from the Customary
Court of Appeal upon presentation of a Teller as evidence of
payment; Persons who have served for 3 terms at the customary court
are not eligible; and that, Applicants who are employed in the
Public Service of the State or Federation are not eligible.

According to the Notice, sale of application forms will end on
the 8^th day of January, 2020. Interested applicants are
advised to visit the Enugu State Judicial Service Commission
website, www.enugustatejsc.org.ng^[1] for
further information.
