Managing Partner of SPA Ajibade & co. Dr Babatunde Ajibade,
SAN has congratulated the Ibadan branch of the Nigerian Bar
Association on its 65th anniversary and law week activities.
While delivering his goodwill message at the formal opening of
the event held on Monday, 9th December 2019 at Afe Babalola Bar
centre, the learned silk commended the Ibadan bar for its dexterity
and immense contribution to the advancement of legal profession in
Nigeria.
” I must commend the Ibadan Bar for being a united and fearless
bar that has produced great bar leaders that have shaped legal
practice in Nigeria.
The Ibadan bar is very dear to me as this is where I started
practice thirty years ago and practising in such a vibrant and
dynamic bar exposed me to the rudiments of law which has helped
mould me into the lawyer that I am today” he said.
Speaking in a similar vein, the chairman of the occasion and
Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu also praised the
Ibadan Bar for being a leading example to other branches on what
the NBA stands for in promoting the rule of law and equitable
society.
” NBA Ibadan is my home. I remember when I started practice
under the tutleage of Chief SPA Ajibade who encouraged all lawyers
in his firm to take active part in bar activities and my interest
and love for Ibadan Bar has remained consistent. I look forward to
celebrating greater milestones with the Ibadan Bar” he added.
The 65th anniversary of the NBA Ibadan branch is a week long
celebration lined up with many interesting activities to celebrate
the significant milestone.
