Sunshine Stars finally got their first win of the 2021 NPFL
season after narrowly edging past FC Ifeanyi Ubah 1-0 in
Akure.
The hosts went into the game on the back of their opening day
defeat to Jigawa Golden Stars in Kaduna and needed a win to get
their season back on track.
The Gbenga Ogunbote side dominated all through the encounter but
were unable to turn their possession into goals.
The Akure Gunners got their winning goal in the 9th minute,
thanks to a superb free kick from midfielder Ogunniyi Omojesu.

The win comes as a relieve for Sunshine Stars Coach, Gbenga
Ogunbote who is in his second stint at the club.
